Located directly under the Cathedral's Sanctuary, the Crypt Chapel was built as the burial place for the Bishops of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown.  The Crypt Chapel currently holds the remains of four of our bishops.  The marble cover on each crypt has the bishop's Coat-of-Arms and the dates of his episcopate.
